10 years after introducing the expressive, percussion-led sound that will come to be called azonto, Nshona Muzick is back with a new project.
Azonto 2.0 Welcome 2Da Seaside Vol. 1 is a 17 track album that comes together to sound like the soundscape for a seaside utopia. As composer, producer and vocalist, Nshona Muzick fuses kpanlogo percussions and fisherman chants with trap melodies and finely tuned crunk synths.
Listening to Azonto 2.0 is like travelling through space and time, with Nshona referencing the worlds that he inhabits, both sonically and physically.
Don’t be surprised to hear Azonto 2.0 Welcome 2Da Seaside Vol.1 either at the Teshie Kpaashimo or that turnt up function.
